SECURITY MANAGER POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
• Implementation of company security policy, enforcement of standards, controls, processes and regulatory procedures for Physical Security and Safety.
• Develop and execute the annual Security Plan and budget within approved limits.
• Develop and maintain Business Continuity, Risk, and Compliance Management & Regulatory Controls for Business Requirements regarding Security and Safety.
• Relationship Management and engagement of Key Stakeholders: Administration Manager, Head of HR and Administration, Security Service Providers including Guarding and Electronic Security, Law Enforcement Agencies like Police, Intelligence, Branch Managers and Statutory bodies.
• Drive Security Programs and Initiatives during the business cycle.
• Incident Management and Reporting of Physical and Safely matters (e.g. Emergency Responses, Crisis Management, Investigations, Crime Scene Management).
• Periodically conducts shift parades and drills, and holds briefings of the guards before shift commencement.
• May recommend disciplinary action and/or commendations of staff to the management for appropriate action.
• Ensures that all items going in or out have proper documentation and approvals. i.e gate pass, suppliers form.
• Conducts random patrols to ensure all guards on duty are alert
• Conduct training to your team on new trends of business security measures and safety measures
• Oversight Management of Electronic Security Systems (Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Metal Detectors, Turnstiles)
• Prepare and present Security Briefing, Analysis and Reports to Admin Manager and the Head of HR and Administration
Requirements;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Security Related Field OR Specialized Certification, Completed Military, Police Service/Experience is an added advantage
• Completion/Part Completion of relevant professional qualification in Security Management/Strategic Management is an added advantage
Experience & Knowledge:
• Experience in Senior Law Enforcement; military/police/intelligence)
• Experience in Security Management in Manufacturing set up is an added advantage
• Experience in investigations
Skill / Competencies:
• Excellent Planning & Organizing capabilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong Commercial awareness.
• Good Analytical skills and attendance to details.
• Stress tolerance.
• Good peoples skills.
• Innovative, Self Driven and Flexible to longer working hours.
• Supervisory and/or decision-making ability is preferred.
