In the first 24 hours of ticket sales for the 2014 FIFA
World Cup Brazil™, more than 400,000 fans requested over 2.3 million tickets through FIFA.com.

Brazilians continue at the top of the list, followed by Argentinians, Americans, Chileans and Colombians. FIFA has already received more than 372,000 ticket requests for the opening match in Sao Paulo, and more than 344,000 for the final at the Maracana.
Football fans have still until 10 October to apply for tickets, as during this first sales period, fans may apply for tickets for the FIFA World Cup regardless of their application date within this time period. All requests will be amalgamated at the end of the phase and processed together. If the number of requests received per product and category exceeds the number of tickets available, a lottery will be held to determine the successful applicants.
You can read additional information about the application process on the Ticketing Fan Guide document to the right.
